The proposal sets on an invitation for a journey, a stroll into the magical world of Hans Christian Andersen. Along this stroll, the physical and allegorical realms fuse into one another so that building and garden tune all together to evoke the enchanted scenario. Trees and other natural elements are spread all throughout the available area. The enhancement of the garden, which is to be perceived as a forest, deepens the atmosphere of fantasy. Several volumes inspired by the shape of the surrounding residential blocks, traditional from Danish culture, are placed among the trees and are also, simultaneously, linked by an underground dynamic corridor that guides the visitor from the entrance reception all along this House of Fairytales museum. In summary, subtle suggestions placed “here and there” in what appears to be in spontaneous fashion, nurture the dialogue between inside and outside space, offering playful moments of visual interaction.
