Main structure of the original house was kept in order to proceed with the renewal of this previously classic house. The intention here was to leave the ground floor with an alternative semipublic program, and elevate the house from there on.
Thus, it showed wise to build an extra level so not to shrink the size of compartments, which would not make much sense otherwise. Therefore, the living room ( plus an extra double high area), the kitchen, a bathroom and the main room were held in the first floor, while the kids' bedrooms, besides two bathrooms went to the new top floor, enjoying both rooms from a nice balcony.
The backyard garden was also redesign and it serves as a passage to an annex where on the top there's this chilling terrace and beneath it will be a studio for the kids to play their music.
